2 Chronicles 35 / Hosea 3 / Acts 18-19 |

For the Israelites will live many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred stones, without ephod or idol. Afterward the Israelites will return and seek the LORD their God and David their king. They will come trembling to the LORD and to his blessings in the last days. Now is the time we have to learn and be patient to do that.We don't know anything about the reality of the spiritual world, so they have to be given to us and we have to wait for what we will be given, like the apostles had to wait in Jerusalem until the gift was given to them. That was the life of the Son of God coming back to them, as he promised to not leave them forever in the state they were in, being temporarily abandoned by the one they had put all their trust in, after whom they followed, the one for whom they gave up their livelihood. Then he was all of a sudden just gone, and the movement they assumed to be right in the middle of, side by side with the Messiah of Israel, seemed to fizzle out with his ignoble death. They must have felt betrayed that the Messiah, who obviously had the power to stop himself from being strung up—even if it were only for their sake—didn't stop it but let it happen. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him. Even though he spoke the words to them that it had to happen that way, they were probably not very consoling, because the reality was that he was dead, so it seemed by every natural observation, as was the movement they had given themselves to in no small way. He even went to great lengths to tell them how much he loved them, even stronger than one of their own family members would, and then he just allowed himself to get killed. If that wasn't enough, they were all of a sudden the rabble rousing partners of this one who was presumed to be another false messiah, because for all practical purposes the movement was over since the head of it had been snuffed out by those who were leaders of the Israel which appeared to be in control and able to quell all of this one man's claims by killing his body. Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, "You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! Come down from the cross, if you are the Son of God!" It seemed to be one way when it was actually quite another, because something was happening in secret about which the humans had no ability to know. Every one of the humans believed that the truer reality was that which they could observe—that if he was who he said he was and his authority was genuine then he would prove it to them and be who they expected the Messiah to be and act like. However, what was actually happening was being done in a way that the humans, even those whom the Father had chosen to be faithful to the Son, couldn't comprehend, even after he told them how it must go. For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other. But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. Is he talking about being like lightening as some future time when he physically comes back to the mount of olives, or when he would be coming back to live in the bodies of those he loved, and promised he would come back to? Lightening couldn't be held or observed for very long. It was there one second, and then it was gone. Lightening was like the wind which couldn't be controlled or held onto like the humans are able to control other humans. By the power they have, they can lift them up or enslave them, make them king or kill them. However, when one is born of the spirit, one cannot be held onto or controlled because the natural life and body after that point means absolutely nothing. While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples and asked them, "Did you receive the holy spirit when you believed?" Being born the false christian holy spirit god is just another human deal, like becoming a witch or getting a driver's license to operate heavy machinery—it takes something a little bit different than everyone else has but anyone can do it so in reality it isn't worth that much. They answered, "No, we have not even heard that there is a holy spirit." Being born of the only true and living God brings with it the guarantee of sonship, which is realized in that son by the life of the Father and the son, who have genuinely come to make their home in that one who becomes host to that life. There's no mistaken hope, nor any long winded blow hards claiming to be able to point the way to other humans who financially and egotistically support him to the mythological gods who don't exist. If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. What was more important—sitting around waiting for him to physically come back, or what actually happened when he came back to them to live with them as the Father had been living in him?Why did he come back to live in them? I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours. All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them. I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name--the name you gave me--so that they may be one as we are one. While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled. My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. Not for their own good, but that they could receive the guarantee of being a son to the living God who had chosen and called them to Himself. That guarantee was the Son of God living in their bodies, as he had promised, to let them know by no uncertain means that he was who he said he was, and the events that had just happened in and around Jerusalem were something different than what the humans presumed it was. They couldn't see the secret reality of what was happening, because they were obtuse and dull animals who could only know the natural reality—what they could observe and evaluate with their natural animal faculties. "How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?" And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself. Those to whom the Son of God came back to live in, like a bolt of lightening going wherever he wanted and living in whomever was chosen—not according to the humans and their ways of reasoning about whom life should be given to (themselves, of course, like any good animal would decide)—but according to the Father who chooses His own sons just as He chose Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Samuel, Elijah and John. Just like He chose the human who would be the Son of David and of God; and like He chose those who would be loyal to the Son, to give him that positive strength of loyalty while he did his very hard work, to be the objects of the love put in him by the Father, those real life humans who were counting on him to do what they didn't even want him to do—save them by giving up his life. I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. Becoming one with the secret movement they were baptized into was the goal of the Father, who is secret and who kept the Son's identity secret, hidden from the humans at large and only revealed to a tiny handful while the rest hadn't any idea that lasted past their inability to accept him because he didn't seem like they thought he should be (because the reality of hid identity was purposely kept from them by the hidden Father. Jesus had convinced them to believe by the things the Father did through him. He had brought them along in a teaching that was foreign to them, nevertheless they believed that he was the Christ. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. After he died, Peter initiated a movement back to the world, back to what the men were before Jesus came to them. But Jesus called him back to remind Peter and the other brothers that the movement wasn't over because Jesus' body had been sacrificed. Actually it had just begun and the movement was a hidden deal, but they were dull animals who had yet to receive the gift of the life of the Father, but who were destined to receive it because the Father intended that they become sons in His secret family—at which so many natural things pointed, but which couldn't be observed, handled, cornered, held onto and controlled by the humans who always mess everything up by their need to do that because of the fear living in them, the naturally occurring trait of all wild animals. When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?" "Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my lambs." So many things about the new way are different than the way we know because of the mixture of our nature and experiences. We are always trying to apply what we know about the world with what we must learn about the new way. However, we can't mix light with darkness, nor can we apply what we know about what's evil, and the evil we learned being a part of it, to what's good. There will be much grief and heartache over this error by the sons who have to learn a new, secret way that they aren't used to, so they are reluctant to accept. They are inclined to be able to accept what their natural eyes see and their frightened animal selves perceive, which is just more of the old reality that is not the Father's, but the serpent's. What the sons must become is a stipulation of the law of God which says that no unclean animal can come near Him, and there's no going around it or getting through any loophole. Therefore the sons must all go through this heart-changing transformation which is a lot easier to talk about (what I've been doing for the last 2 1/2 years) than to do (hopefully what all this theory is leading to). As perfectly as the natural world of human animals is kept separated from God by the way He made them to be under that curse, so is there the same kind of perfect order in becoming a son, by being brought out from under the curse, which is no easy deal. There are no cracks in the wall through which he can slide. Again Jesus said, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me?" When the Father comes there is a natural reaction of fighting the process, because we think we must know and control everything, and we are comfortable with what and who we are (for the most part). Whatever we don't know we think we have to know (so we can own and control it), because we're afraid of anything we can't control or know we aren't able to control—like other humans who aren't like us so we're naturally afraid of them because we don't feel the agreement in ourselves of knowing we can control them. There is a constant anxiety to find out and know what's going on even though that's impossible, because we have to patiently wait and trust that the process of transformation is being taken care of. In fact for a long time there is an ignorance about it, that it just happens immediately and automatically, as though that was how the spirit always worked in the first century. Patiently enduring is the key, because a lot actually does happen while we are. The process of transforming a wild orphan beast into a clean civilized son of God who is stable, decreasing in the natural anxieties and increasingly understanding the spiritual reality, is not immediate nor automatic, just as the natural copy suggests. The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" There is a design that we have no control over because it's so much higher than our ability to even comprehend it, not to mention be able to approve or disapprove it each step of the way, which is our tendency because of the animal nature and what we know so far in our life, about our life—we have to control everything so that it goes our way. If we don't, then we're left to random, almost certainly undesirable outcomes. If we saw how stupid and ineffectual we are, and how we could never know what our Father knows, and so could never work for our own good, we might let go a little bit of that constant craving to control everything in our life all the time because of the underlying need for the assurance that things go our way, for our good. Jesus said, "Feed my sheep. I tell you the truth, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands (like a little child), and someone else (me in the power of the unseen Father when I come back to inhabit your body) will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go." Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death (of his animal self, not of his body being hung upside down) by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, "Follow me!" Peter would have to let go of the control he thought he needed to have over everything in his life. Jesus was correcting his misguidedness in leading the sheep out to fish, to become one again with the way of the world. But Peter would soon be a shepherd of the sheep the Father and the Son would give him to lead them to the Father. The sons need to be corrected often, because what they come from cannot behold the Father's reality. The correction is like discipline that leads to an adjusted perception, which can in the tiniest little increment be able to perceive the Father and the Son, and the position to which the son has been called. Not a naturally observable reality at all, but one which will be hidden to just about everyone *but* himself (and any witnesses the Father might give to him who are also being called to the hidden reality of the secret sons of God). Nobody knows about the spirit and how it works or what its purpose actually is, although many think they do, ironically because they want that purpose to be for their well-being, to feel like they are getting something they need—perpetual survival for the animal who is always on the prowl to survive a little longer and better. That animal need, craving and desire to be in control, to know what's going on, to have the power, to be the one(s) who's right, who holds the key, who determines the destiny of everyone else isn't anything obscure or that which has no power. If the animals actually knew the genuine spirit of the living God, there wouldn't be such a desperate push to constantly find a validating consensus amongst themselves, the humans who are far too willing to trust mere men, those who claim to be experts. The desperation is because they don't know, not proof that they do (via their consensus); hence the constant need for that validity and control by surrounding themselves with others who create it for them. Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering. The irony is that the one who did have the key to knowledge had no human consensus, which even in the last hours dropped from little (11 men) to none. The irony though is actually the reality of the spiritual to the natural—what is true in the one is untrue in the other, and backwards again the other way. There is a mandatory need for the sons to listen not to men who don't know but to the teacher, if he indeed has come to live in them. The sons won't need men to tell them what only the teacher can tell them, actually they won't be able to because all the "experts" know are lies about the Father. Men only know what they can observe and read with their natural faculties, and hear from other men, who don't know about the spiritual reality. All they can ever do is try to live in the false reality that the consensus they are creating for themselves is something genuinely coming from outside themselves, not by their own power (to create their own consensus they have created by the power of their own hand). They pretend to know about the secret reality that isn't publicly disclosed, but since it cannot/will not be proven in the natural world, there exists among the humans so many great pretensions where all the actors great and small, who have learned their craft from the other mere men, come together regularly to entertain the masses. Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit. It's like a huge vaudeville circuit, and all the little performances go on every Sunday as the patrons all come in to watch the entertainment, and the actors pretend to be so sure of something they cannot know because it's not available to them—which is why to the sons it will seem phony and stupid because it is all a big skit as the humans try to recreate what was only in the world for a little while, via the scripts they have access to (their bibles). It's up to them to convince the audience that they are so sure about what they're claiming, according to how well they act. If they can do that, then there may be a chance that the audience will donate money to keep the act going, so they can have a place to come every Sunday, and be convinced they are destined for something the actors aren't qualified to assure them they're getting. Some see and accept that they are just acting, and it isn't necessarily true, all the things they're saying—because they aren't—and aren't afraid to just leave. Others are too afraid to think the experts are just actors, and wrong. So they keep coming, and keep trusting mere men for things they don't have the authority to give or promise. Just because there may be good intention doesn't wipe out everything that's wrong, and the lies that keep getting rehashed and promulgated every Sunday. The assembly of the firstborn, the sons of God whose number is specific, will judge the whole world, and decide by the perfect justice of the Father—like Jesus they will have already been made One with Him at that point—who is worthy to have the good gift. There's no need to worry about the destiny of any of the humans, because they will all be judged perfectly, according to what is in their heart, which overrides what they do on the outside, in front of other humans, where they can see, observe and either reward or judge with their imperfect, evil abilities to do either one. Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. This is a difficult one for the vaudevillians to push real hard, since their weekly act is all about doing their acts of righteousness before as many men as they can stuff in to the venue. Of course they justify themselves with another act of humility and say they are just humble teachers, doing their service to God. However doing what they do, they flatly contradict what Jesus said about doing their "service to God" before men. So why do they keep doing it? Because it's an act, and they can get away with it, because the audience wants entertainment, not what's real. Because there is an egotistical craving in them, via the animal instincts, to have that ego satisfied, and they've found a way to do it "legally," with their god's blessing as do all the other actors. They will claim to have that right because of all they suffer, putting up with the sheep. When you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. There is so much inherent resident evil living within the humans that this is not an exaggeration on Jesus' part to say what he says about the left and right hand. Because we are so naturally led by the devil, the serpent, the beast, because of its instincts that live in us—which get more cemented and strong as we age—we are its servant and won't even know it until the Teacher shows it to us. That is just another part of the complex and perfect transformation which has to take place within the humans in order to become sons. Without so much of that intense personal training, which originates and exists within the son's heart, he would just remain the unclean animal he started as before the Lord came, what he was destined to be without that coming. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. Jesus promised the men he loved that he would come back to live with them and eventually save them and take them to the place he was going—to be made One with the Father. He did come back to them as he had promised, and gave them the assurance of fulfilling that promise by what he put in them—the deposit and guarantee that the men later received, what Paul observes as another aspect of the spirit's living in his heart. Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. That condition is one of the first things we were so sure about, what we could verify as true with the words of Paul, just after the Lord came to us. He kept assuring us about what is true in the spiritual reality, even though the natural reality—all we actually had at the time—said the opposite was true, that there was no spiritual truth we could actually be aware about other than what we could learn from reading the preserved words. God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them. God doesn't entertain the humans with miraculous shows and spectacles of unseen power for the humans' sake, according to their wishes and desires, unless He has a specific purpose for doing so. The spirit is given for His specific purpose, to accomplish His desire and will, not to prove anything to the humans who are just dying like everything else in the natural creation. They're not important enough to do that. The chosen sons are important. The spirit's work is not as the humans think. What we've observed isn't the same experience as Paul seems to have had. Although the purpose is the same, to prove that He is the only true and living God, and that all other forms of God are made up by mere men, for their purpose not our Father's. We do know that we were specifically chosen to see, hear and understand what others do not, as far as we can observe at this point in time. Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. Paul was genuine, and that which was not genuine wasn't allowed to compete with what was. We know that what we have is genuinely authentic because of the work we've already seen happen within us, and the order it has brought to what before was merely ignorant, chaotic randomness. It cannot be the same thing working in the lives of so many christians who claim to feel and know something supernatural, because the true and living God would not validate what is false and made up by men. There could be a work of spiritual messengers, perhaps getting some ready for a future work of God on the earth, however that's about all the speculation we can do about it now. There is a lot of acting and pretending, as we can readily observe and even understand by the true message we are receiving about the animal nature and how it makes the humans act, which is the most perfect explanation of so many natural mysteries, especially about the humans. Even the little we already know explains so many mysteries and answers so many questions about the way things seem to be—what so many of the "great thinking" humans, for so many centuries, have been asking without any answers. We are being given an orderly explanation about the way things are between God and the humans, about the way they are and why, and it's an orderly explanation contained as the hidden secret of the preserved words. They have to be unlocked before the humans can begin to understand them, and the only reason that would happen is if they were chosen to become sons of God, who do know about the spiritual mysteries, hidden to and kept secret from mere men who aren't chosen, so they don't need to know. Unlike the sons, the ordinary humans are allowed to believe any lie that sounds good to them, and most often they choose whatever will suit them best, according to the needs, cravings and desires that are instinctually in them to survive and self-preserve, as it is in all the animals as such. That is another thing we observed a while ago, about how God in His mercy allows the humans to believe, with the most thorough conviction, in whatever they want, as a sort of living morphine drip which masks the actual reality that they're just going into the ground, and that there's a real good chance that that will be the last of them as they decompose and become plant food. The true sons of God cannot just believe any lie that comes along. They have to know and understand their Father, because true love only comes through knowing, understanding, trusting and desiring to be and remain faithful to Him, just like the most perfect situation between the humans could ever be, most clearly reflected in the relationship between parent and child. It's the same with God, and why we call him Father. As apostles of Christ we could have been a burden to you, but we were gentle among you, like a mother caring for her little children. We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us. Surely you remember, brothers, our toil and hardship; we worked night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone while we preached the gospel of God to you. I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
